- Tell us a short version of what is your business?
We’re Ibex Tax Advisors – a small & boutique tax and accounting firm that specialises in helping individuals, small businesses, and expats with all things tax-related. From tax returns to complex international tax matters, we make it our mission to simplify the numbers and give clients peace of mind.
- How long have you been operating; how many are in your team?
We officially launched Ibex in 2019, but the story started earlier. Gaurav and Kieu met in 2014 while working in the industry, and after years of sharing ideas and values, decided to build something of our own. Today, we’re the 2 founding partners, supported by a small team of 10 members based in Canberra, Vietnam, Philippines, and India.
- What are the successes and challenges of your Business?
One of our proudest achievements has been growing purely through word of mouth — it’s a great feeling to know clients trust us enough to refer their friends and family. We’ve also worked with expats and people with cross-border tax needs, which has been both rewarding and challenging as tax laws are always evolving. Staying ahead of those changes while running a lean team definitely keeps us on our toes!
- What were the reasons you made the move to Nexus?
The space is professional but relaxed, and the community vibe really suits how we like to work — collaborative and low-pressure. It’s also great being around other business owners; we’ve had some great chats (and even a few clients!) just from being in the same space.
